    Works closely with a group of Software Engineers responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of client side and server side code for web based games. This role requires a forward thinking, critical problem solver who can communicate across the organization

    Essential Job Functions:
    • Work with a team in an Agile environment to design and implement game features and core functionality in Unity
    • Create and maintain tables in MySQL and documents in Couchbase
    • Monitor game performance and error logs
    • Use Git on a daily basis to manage source code
    • Design, implement, and maintain tools for game administration
    • Research and utilize third party APIs (Facebook, Upsight, etc)
    • Occasional light front end web work with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
    • Mentor junior engineers and assit them with feature development and debugging
    • Create scripts and tools to improve workflows for both backend and other teams

    Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics or relevant area or equivalent experience

    Required Experience:
    3+ years of Unity software development experience
    • Experience writing and debugging in a dynamically typed language (PHP, Ruby, Python)
    • Professional experience working with MySQL or another RDBMS
    • Professional experience with modern version control systems like Git and Mercurial
    • Strong communication skills

    Preferred Experience:
    • Social game development
    • Experience with statically typed languages like C++, Java, or C#
