Position Profile

Weaver’s Business Tax Services (BTS) team is looking for a Tax Associate I to join their growing team.  The Business Tax Services team at Weaver provides tailored tax planning and tax compliance services to private equity backed partnerships and large corporations. 

A BTS Associate I prepares various types of federal tax returns for clients in a variety of industries and researches related key issues as needed.  This person will also assist with other tax planning and consulting projects.  The ideal candidate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity.  A BTS Associate I enjoys flexibility, meaningful and diverse client work, a supportive and innovative work environment, four (4) weeks of paid time off per year, and many more benefits.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • CPA candidate required, CPA preferred
  • 0-1+ years of public accounting or industry experience, or a combination of both
  • Experience preparing and/or reviewing federal tax returns with a focus on private equity backed clients, large businesses, partnerships and provisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
