Thisposition is responsible for performing highly complex (senior-level) computerprogramming work in the Information Technology Services office of TDI. Primaryprogramming work will include development on front- and back-end code onapplications using the J2EE platform. Work will involve support of existingapplications and creation of new applications. May assist in training andmentoring the work of others. Worksunder limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiativeand independent judgment.
-codes,tests, and debugs software programs;
-compilesand documents code and procedures used throughout development;
-assistsin preparing documentation to guide end users;
-assistsin developing software requirements for proposed software solutions, includingthe preparation of detailed analyses, plans, and testing procedures;
-analyzes,reviews, and reformats code to improve performance or adapt new procedures;
-assistsin testing and troubleshooting applications in all environments;
-actsas a senior developer that may mentor and oversee the work of others; and
-performsother duties as assigned.
-graduationfrom an accredited four-year college or university with a major in computerscience, math, engineering, or another related field;
-threeyears of experience in Oracle 12c databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
Educationand experience relevant to position requirements may be substituted for oneanother on a year-for-year basis.
Preferencesfor this position include:
-threeyears of recent programming experience in Salesforce;
-threeyears of working experience with Agile Scrum or Test Driven DevelopmentMethodologies;
-experiencecoding to the Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended (ADAA).
Thisposition requires demonstrated knowledge of:
-theprinciples, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systemsanalysis;
-Oracledatabases, SQL, and PL/SQL; and
Thisposition requires demonstrated skill in:
-technicalproblem solving, decision making and planning; and
Thisposition requires the demonstrated ability to:
-workboth collaboratively and independently;
-maintainclear file organization and output, ensuring code is written following modernbest practices;
-analyzesoftware problems and develop solutions, utilizing proper application securityand necessary data protections;
-prepareprogram specifications and documentation;
-code,test, and debug scripts;
-communicateeffectively with technical and lay audiences;
-workflexible hours as necessary;
-maintainstrict confidentiality of information; and
