Performs highly complex (senior-level) systems administration for all support aspects of assigned cloud-based Risk Management Information System (RMIS), including but not limited to application change management, workflow development, data security, and coordinating with Software as a Service (SAAS) vendors. Responsible for performing regular monitoring and verifications of the Risk Management Information System, resources, systems, key processes, system and error logs, and processing schedules. Work involves analyzing and assessing legacy systems, including integrations with other systems and translation of end user’s needs, and following the application lifecycle management (SDLC) recommended practices. Responsible for implementing and providing ongoing production support to users of assigned SAAS application(s). Serves as systems subject matter expert for IT projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintaining users and access/security rights in future SAAS Risk Management Information System (RMIS)
Performs complex computer systems analysis work; work involves analyzing, procedures, and problems to automate processes; may train others; works under general supervision, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
Administers the Cloud-based developed data warehouse of workers’ compensation, risk management, insurance and training, including the data feeds to the data warehouse
Determines operational, technical, and support requirements for integration of data into target-systems, and documents requirements for maintenance of computer data systems
Details input and output of record formats for systems and documents findings
Manages ongoing configurations of workflows, forms, and code lists within the Risk management information system
Analyzes current systems, business processes and technologies to align services and ensures consistent performance in the Risk Management Information System
Coordinates with Risk Management Information System vendor to automate business processes to improve delivery of data and customer service
Responsible for providing timely direction and feedback to Risk Management Information System vendor
Coordinates with the system’s vendor to implement major modifications to the system
Ensures consistent delivery of case management data to external parties and regulators
Provides front-line support to external parties in a risk management environment
Participates in developing infrastructure best practices to enhance existing or create new functionalities for customers and improved business outcomes within the cloud-base claims management software
Establishes or enhances business resiliency so SORM can quickly adapt during disruptions while maintaining continuous business operations
Assists with defining integration goals and creates flow charts and diagrams describing logical and operational steps of integrations
Utilizes queries to provide regular and ad hoc reports on Datawarehouse data. (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, bi-annually)
Performs information systems security administration for the Risk Management Information System, including access authorizations and logs
Plans SAAS Risk Management Information System implementations, replacements, improvements and deprecations on the front-end with the cloud-Risk Management Information System vendor
Responsible for minor implementations new or modifications to SAAS Risk Management Information System processes
Develops, designs, maintains security, and disaster recovery plans.
Maintains an accurate, complete manual and electronic documentation of environment and related activities.
Troubleshoot problems, analyze and isolate issues, and implement solutions
Provides expertise in maintaining MySQL and Microsoft SQL databases.
Submits regular and special reports as necessary to ensure IT management and staff are informed of progress and status.
Trains and assists other IT staff in accomplishment of assigned projects.
Coordinates business analysis for State Office of Risk Management processes
Performs related work as assigned
Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions

Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis:
Experience: Eight-years of full-time experience working with cloud technology, SAAS, or closely related technologies
Experience with Backup and recovery solutions
Familiarity with MySQL, Microsoft SQL, related connectors, stored procedures and queries.
Extensive knowledge of system analysis, design methodology, and software systems in a cloud-based enterprise environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of the planning, design, and management of highly available IT infrastructure and associated systems and support services
Knowledge of cloud-based systems and cloud technologies
Knowledge of system security measures
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of systems analysis; of computer operations procedures and systems; and database systems
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective oral and written communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environment
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%
Experience working in the Public Sector
Expertise in Systems Administration with Salesforce or a similar platform
Experience in Systems Administration with Amazon Cloud
Ten-years of systems administration, monitoring, database administration, programming, or closely related experience
Experience using and maintaining databases and stored procedures
Skill in identity and access principles and implementation of both on premise and cloud environment
