As an intern at Proofpoint, you’ll be on the cutting edge helping large companies protect their brand on social media. You will get practical experience with a number of common workplace tools as well as hands-on experience with how brands use social media, how our content classifiers work, even work on projects with our engineering, product management and marketing teams. You will be mentored throughout your internship, and we will work with you to document all of your new skills and successful projects.
Your Current Super-Skills
- Experience in programming JAVA
- Experience working on a Linux system
- Working knowledge of social media with experience using the main social platforms (e.g., Facebook and Twitter, Google+)
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own (with direction)
- Self-starter. Should be able to work with minimal supervision, but know when to ask for help
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and accept feedback
Your Superhero Profile
You have the ability and interest in working full time (40 hours/week) onsite in our Austin, TX office. You are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (2019 new college grads also eligible), and are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher. This summer internship is scheduled to run for 11 weeks from June – August 2019.
