Assist in the development and oversight of the Fort Hood Mission Training Complex (MTC) Command, Control, Communications and Computers architecture, Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity. Assists the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the MTC with coordination responsibility with outside agencies and III Corps MTC sites. Assists the MTC Network Manager in establishing the communications architecture, coordinating communications plans, configuring communications equipment, implementing cybersecurity processes, and assist in installing equipment and circuitry in support of distributed exercises. Serves as the Signal Subject matter expert on all aspects of the communications architecture and exercise support plans with communications planners at other simulation facilities, the Network Enterprise Center (NEC), and participating tactical units. Plans include distribution of data, voice, and VTC over both LAN and WAN in both classified and unclassified modes for simulations/stimulation networks; NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and tactical networks. Attends Initial, Mid, and Final Exercise Planning Conferences as required by the Government customer.
Coordinates with Army units to take operational/tactical intent of senior leaders and develop into actionable tasks that fully support the mission.
Basic Qualifications: Top Secret clearance required. Bachelor's degree required. Candidate will have served as a Division Deputy G6, Division G6 or Corps Deputy G6 or Corps G6. At least 10 years experience supervising C4 planning, operations, automation, RMF / cybersecurity, spectrum management and G6 administrative functions across a Division or Corps staff. Experienced in coordinating and collaborating with an Installation Network Enterprise Center. Graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Intermediate Level Education (ILE). Candidate must be able to achieve IAT level 2 within 6 months of hire.
PMP certified. IAT Level 2 certification. Experience with the Mission Partner Environment (MPE) network.
