Mellanox is growing and looking for a Test Engineer to support our OEM design-in solutions in the Austin Area.
The ideal candidate will have a background in one of the following areas: IT Infrastructure & Services, advanced testing/QA or technical support of advanced server or networking.
This individual will be responsible for creating & managing lab setups, bring-up and configuration of advanced server, networking and storage equipment, reproduction and trouble-shooting of various issues and sanity testing of new software releases.
- Ability to work independently, who is self-motivated and dedicated
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with teams across geographies and/or co-located within our field support organization
- Associates or Bachelors degree in CS, CIS, or a related field
- 3+ years experience in an IT or lab administration, testing/QA or technical support role
- 5+ years of work experience (high proficiency) in Linux, Windows and ESX operating systems
- Virtualized environments experience
- Expert-level network and server troubleshooting ability
- CCNA Certification
- Ability to script in Bash, Perl, or Python or Windows batch.
- Networking testing - Iperf/Netperf/Wireshark/DPDK
- Experience with reporting and managing cases/issues in JIRA/Salesforce/Redmine
- Experience with network boot solutions (PXE, uEFI, iSCSI)
