The role of the Senior ModStylist is an integral part of our customer’s experience. They are very knowledgeable about the ModCloth brand, style, & products, and they are deeply rooted in the ModCloth Community. They have a keen and creative eye for fashion and are experts at outfitting, fitting, styling and servicing our customers. They are committed to delighting each and every customer and demonstrate a natural ease with engaging, selling and servicing.

Reporting to the General Market Manager, the Senior ModStylist will support visitors to our stores by cultivating strong customer relationships based on expert fit, sizing, and styling suggestions. The Senior ModStylist will also partner with the online ModStylist team (based in Pittsburgh, PA) to align on brand voice, content generation, and overall customer experience. The Senior ModStylist will harbor a culture of positivity, inclusivity, and celebration of personal style and aesthetics. She/he will act as a host to individuals in need of all things fashion and style, providing an unparalleled styling experience.

What you'll do...

Demonstrate a positive and empathetic attitude and the ability to adapt and connect to the customer

Maintain an understanding of the ModCloth customer and demonstrate a great deal of customer care, understanding, empathy and passion to help them become the best version of themselves in our product
Maintain familiarity with ModCloth’s product assortment, fit blocks, sales and promotions
Perform fittings and measurements and providing product size and style guidance for all customers
Lead, maintain and evolve the “Dos & Don’ts and Tips and Tricks” training documentation
Assist with visual merchandising and mannequin outfitting as needed
Utilize digital tools in the FitShop on a consistent basis
Develop next level relationships with regular customers and initiate proactive communication with them about new product arrivals, events and other FitShop happenings
May be a key-holder responsible for open and closing the FitShop when needed
Assist in the training and onboarding of new ModStylists
Maintain a client book and help contribute to the FitShop’s clienteling processes at a high level
Stay informed of and remain committed to achievement of daily FitShop sales and KPI goals as well as personal selling goals
Positively represent the brand and the community and encourage a culture of positivity, inclusivity, and celebration of personal style and aesthetics
Non-appointment selling assignments may include greeting (welcoming customers and explaining the unique selling process in our ModCloth FitShops), selling (servicing walk-in customers, setting them up in fitting rooms, outfitting), running (pulling customers’ requested items and putting tried on merchandise back in the stockroom) and checking out (processing all orders)
ModStylists also support the customer and FitShop experience as needed by performing a variety of operational tasks such as organizing, ticketing, stocking and general shop keeping standards

You have...

A desire to interact 1:1 with customers

2-4+ years styling experience
Personal shopping experience (a plus)
A self-starter mentality and can work successfully both independently and within a team
Strong leadership capabilities
Retail and merchandising experience
Love of fashion, current trends, and a strong ability to adapt to the preferences of clients
Confidence in giving in-depth advice and sharing information with others
Knowledge of clothing and fabric terminology
Patience and willingness to work with all types of people
High motivation and willingness to produce top-notch results on every level
Impeccable time management and organization skills, with the ability to multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
