    Position Purpose
    Under the general supervision of the principal, the CCMR Advisor will develop and implement CCMR practices. The CCMR Advisor organizes, maintains, and supports the Readiness Center on campus, and provides a wide variety of Readiness information, materials, processes, and supports for successful transition of high school students into post-secondary opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    Master's degree with emphasis in educational leadership or counseling preferred
    Valid Texas teaching certificate
    Five years of successful teaching experience preferred
    Ability to guide students toward College, Career, and Military Readiness

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Actively research effecive practices in preparing stuent to be College, Career, and Military Ready.
    • Participate in the CCMR development process and design student sessions for developing emerging CCMR practives and initiatives.
    • Work collaboratively with the CCMR department to organize and develop campus practices in Leaderhip Through Service, Cultural Awareness, Wellness, and Post-graduation Awareness and Preparedness.
    • Work collaboratively to organize, coordinate, and host the district Future Readiness Fair(s).
    • Recruit volunteers to assist with student and parent workshops that empower students to apply for FAFSA, colleges, jobs, scholarships, interships, apprenticeships, etc.
    • Manage and processes for application, submission, advertising, and promotion of scholarships.
    • Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, colleagues, and community members.
    • Guide students through actualizing their Readiness plans
    • Coordinate testing for PSAT, SAT, ACT, TSI, ASVAB, and AP.
    Additional Duties
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

    Equipment
    Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copy and fax machines, and telephone.

    Travel Requirements
    Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of CCMR requirements
    • Knowledge of CCMR software tools
    • Knowledge of procedures and requirements for college admission; military enlistment; and job, internship, or apprenticeship application
    • Ability to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences for students and their parents
    • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
    Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
    Works in standard office and school building environments.

    Qualifications Profile
    • Texas State Certification as a Teacher
    • Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
