    Primary Purpose:

    Provide a learning and enriching environment for students registered in Panther Extended Care with the goal
    of providing a safe, respectful, and responsible experience for our students..

    Qualifications:

    Education/Certification:
    High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Legally eligible to work in the United States
    First Aid, CPR, and AED; Child Abuse Prevention training (provided by the district)

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    Exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
    Regular attendance is a must for the department to provide quality service to students.
    Must pass a required background check and fingerprinting.

    Experience:
    Prefer experience working with elementary aged children.

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    Mornings

    1. Arrive at the designated time as established by the Panther Extended Care Director, Hours are 5:45 a.m.-7:15 a.m.
    2. Greet students at the door and assist parents in checking students in
    3. Facilitate a safe, fun and welcoming environment
    4. Monitor student behavior and enforce Panther Extended Care rules; Resolve conflict
    5. Implement program activities that correlate to the curriculum set forth.
    6. Develop and implement a positive and effective way to communicate with parents
    7. Maintain confidentiality
    8. Ensure students get to the appropriate class/campus

    Afternoons

    1. Arrive at the designated time as established by the Panther Extended Care Director. Hours are 2:45-6:30 (7:00)
    2. Organize the daily activities and snacks.
    3. Greet students at the door and get them checked in
    4. Facilitate a safe, fun and welcoming environment
    5. Monitor student behavior and enforce Panther Extended Care rules; Resolve conflict
    6. Implement program activities that correlate to the curriculum set forth.
    7. Develop and implement a positive and effective way to communicate with parents
    8. Maintain confidentiality

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    None.

    Equipment Used:

    Computer system for check in and out
    2 way radio

    Working Conditions:

    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
    Maintain emotional control under stress -- Ability to lift 20lbs -- Works outside in heat and cold -- Appropriate footwear required for physical activity -- Ability to verbally lead group activities
