Maintenance Locksmith is responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, preventive maintenance and programming on mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.


What will I be doing?


As Maintenance Locksmith you are responsible for installation, maintenance, inspection, repair, preventive maintenance and programming on mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility to ensure proper operation and security in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspects, analyzes dysfunction and repairs mechanical and electronic locks throughout the facility. Works throughout the facility including shop work and must be able to climb stairs, stoop, grasp tools, visually inspect, and have good finger dexterity in order to repair locks.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electronic locking systems and key encoders to ensure proper and reliable operation.
  • Cuts metal keys, repins lock to master key system, picks locks and repairs or installs various types of mechanical locks in wood or metal doors or on furniture and equipment.
  • Produces mechanical and electronic keys and maintains security control of keys. Maintains log of all keys issued and to whom. Interrogates electric locking system as required.

Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Three (3) years experience with both mechanical and electronic lock devices and systems including master-key systems and procedures
  • Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
  • CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred.
  • The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is hospitality business and a hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
