The Cath Lab lead Technician has the responsibility to support the hospital mission with pursuit of inventory management and product specialist. In addition, assists in all procedures performed in the Invasive Cardiology area. The Cardiovascular Technologist provides a safe patient care environment that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures. The CVIL tech maintains and operates the physiological systems, assists physicians during the procedures, and performs unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment. The CVIL tech demonstrates the ability to function in all of the three positions (scrub, pan, monitor). Essential information is shared through documentation and verbal communication. The Cath lab tech participates in continuous performance improvement activities in the unit. Assures staff maintains knowledge of all equipment and new equipment in lab. Assisting in training staff on new procedures. Financial responsibility with inventory and product use. Assist in training new employees in the Cath Lab.
Employee must be available for all schedules cases and be able to reach the hospital within 30-minutes when on call.
Preferred: ARRT, RCIS, or Certified OR tech: BLS; ACLS
Preferred: Two years prior Cath Lab experience, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Required: If RT, require current TDH license/ARRT
Preferred: CVT or RT with 2 years Cath Lab experience
