Cox Automotive, is seeking a Lead Data Analyst for the vAuto team in Austin, TX.
Job Summary:
This position is an experienced member of the Data team in Austin, partnering with internal stakeholders to provide data insights and reporting solutions for vAuto needs. Qualified candidates possess excellent technical and analytical skills, organizational skills, communications skills, team orientation, flexibility, innovative thinking, problem solving and self motivation.

Team Summary:

The Data team maintains and improves the quality of the data in our portfolio; the system it supports receives dirty vehicle data from many disparate sources, and cleans that data to a common standard.  Along with maintaining data processes, the team is responsible for gathering metrics around data quality to determine where to best spend our efforts. The Data team owns the systems and algorithms that compute a unique market vehicle record for each advertised vehicle, and derives the set of competing vehicles in the market for any given vehicle.  The team owns the valuation system which takes vehicle data and yields a book value for that vehicle for any of our supported automotive pricing guides.

Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years relevant experience, including data analysis or software development.

  • Must be detail oriented and have strong critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

  • Familiarity with BI tools.

  • Strong SQL skills.

Responsibilities:


Understand the data assets of vAuto and help to catalog them.Assists the Data Scientists in collecting and analyzing data for their modelling problems.


Understand and measure the quality of core data assets for vAuto.

Assist in requirements gathering and solutioning for reporting needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Create and maintain SQL queries and BI reports for users and assist with data analysis.
