Job Description
This position is a strategic part of the Transportation leadership team of the North America Unit (NAU). The selectee will work within a team environment, reporting directly to the West Transportation (TWG) Area Leader and will work closely with the National Transportation Director as well as the Transportation Group Leader.

*** This position can be based at any of our offices in Texas which include; Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, El Paso, San Antonio ***

• Plan and implement a strategy for new business in the Texas transportation market while maintaining the relationships with decision makers and senior leaders with the current CDM Smith client base. Specific focus on TxDOT with emphasis on full service delivery of planning, engineering, and CEI services.
• Lead effective sales activities including identifying clients within the TX market and effectively working with other members of the Sales team to develop winning pursuit strategies, proposals and presentations.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Texas Client Service teams to exceed annual revenue, profit, and cash management goals and align the team to achieve future strategic growth objectives.
• Work with the TWG Area Leader in managing the Profit and Loss Statement (P&L).
• Collaborate with the TWG Leader as well as other members of the transportation leadership team to achieve annual revenue and profitability objectives.
• Implement procedures to improve client satisfaction and opportunities for repeat business though excellent execution, teaching, coaching, and implementation of "lessons learned".
• Build a team environment to increase staff retention, hiring and growth and provide leadership in recruitment of new professionals and strategic staff.
• Provide input and leadership during annual sales, revenue, utilization, and profitability business plan development.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related engineering required.
• Registered PE in Texas or the ability to acquire within six months.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience marketing and working in the Texas Transportation market.
• Demonstrated success in Texas leading business development organizations and profit management.
• Ability to demonstrate established relationships within the Texas transportation community.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
