    LOCATION: DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATIONS AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

    INTERNSHIP PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Perform all duties pertaining to area of expertise as required (e.g., video and still camera operator, audio operator, video editor, grip, etc.) Incumbent must have the skills to work in a group setting or individually on remote or studio locations. Must have the ability to write scripts and participate as talent for on-air productions. Knowledge of video cameras and editing procedures is required and must work well with producer/director.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION:
    Two years in the AV/Technology CTE Pathway is required.

    REFERENCES:
    A letter of recommendation from your current or previous AISD AV/Technology teacher is required.

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • Must work well with faculty, school staff and students of all ages
    • Must have knowledge of Adobe Premiere
    • Effective communication skills and knowledge of TV production
    • Transportation required

    INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW:

    Semester and year-long internships are available in various departments. Work hours are flexible to help students reach 20 hours per week.

    Interns will be assigned various duties and assist Supervisor and staff as needed.

    APPLICATION PROCESS:

    Student should submit an on-line application. if identified as a potential intern, HR will contact you for a brief phone interview. Depending on the results of the phone interview, HR and Transportation will schedule a follow-up, face-to-face interview and basic word and excel testing. The decision to extend an internship will be made following the face-to-face interview and the test result.
