Arrow Child & Family Ministries is seeking a Behavioral Support Specialist for our Treatment Foster Care Program. Arrow is the largest foster care provider in the State of Texas, Arrow Child & Family Ministries is a Christian provider of child welfare and education services for abused and neglected children and families in crisis. Through the engagement of both government and the local church, Arrow provides an array of services including foster care, adoption, residential care and treatment, child sex trafficking rehabilitation, and specialized education. All programs and services advance the well-being of children, families and communities while promoting responsibility and a commitment to strengthen family life.
The Behavior Support Specialist is responsible for the direct provision of in-home and community-based rehabilitation and support services to participating TFC clients. The Behavior Support Specialist visits consumers in their homes and communities, and provide services in the home, community, or program site. The Behavior Support Specialist assumes a supportive role in the ongoing development and implementation of Trust-Based Relational Intervention in the home, provides additional support to foster families, and supervision of clients.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, mental health or another related human services field. At least one (1) year of previous experience working with youth in a mental health setting preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and Insurance
- Driving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver's license is valid
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment.
- Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may have occasional contact with cleaning solvents, aromatics and nuisance dusts. Some locations may require PCM (Professional Crisis Management) Training.
