    SUMMARY:

    The UX Designer will be responsible for product creation (mobile and web app) that will foster an intuitive, fun, and satisfying user experience. This role will collaborate with our Head of Product and product marketer to create products for users that are simple and powerful.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Build wireframes and prototypes to communicate design.
    • Identify existing usability gaps and make recommendations to correct them.
    • Collaborate with users to identify needs and design work flows and intuitive interfaces.
    • Provide creative leadership for all aspects of our online experiences and e-learning software applications including: eCommerce, defining new interactions, making user experience intuitive, and visually bringing the brand to life.
    • Determine best UX solutions based on customer feedback and business goals and help to determine overall direction, identifying challenges and adapting as needed based on the context of the solution and customer.
    • Oversee and engage in hands-on work for end-to-end design processes and produce a set of deliverables that effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors for online and e-learning software applications.
    • Incorporate UX research tools, data, personas, competitive analysis and metrics to help shape user experiences.
    • Guide, maintain and communicate UX/UI consistency of experience across all platforms.
    • Possess diverse UI design portfolio showcasing new trends including mobile first design websites, and apps with an emphasis on scaling eCommerce websites.
    • Exhibit a thorough understanding for the needs of customers.
    • Provide day-to-day team leadership that fosters a shared understanding of design and interaction standards.
    • Interface with backend developers and conduct design collaboration meetings.
    • Carryout procedures to improve conversion initiatives on eCommerce customer websites.
    • Design graphical user interfaces and provide support for existing websites.
    • Conduct focus studies with users to gain insight on usability after new product launches.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems or a related field or equivalent experience.
    • 3-6 years of UX/Product Design experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience creating prototypes/mock-ups, or highly detailed wireframes for complex web applications.
    • Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
    • Knowledge of a range of UX tools: Sketch, Invision, Axure, Adobe, usertesting.com.
    • Direct experience with responsive web design and mobile compatible design.
    • Experience designing mobile apps is a plus.
    • Experience developing style guides, storyboards, user flows and A/B testing is a plus

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to design a technical solution from a business standpoint.
    • Sees the value in understanding user personas, strives to create a UX that proportionally balances those personas.
    • Quick, pragmatic, and works well with stakeholders, users, and product teams to achieve incremental solutions to problems.
    • Uses a proactive, iterative, and user-oriented approach when troubleshooting problems and resolving issues related to product, process. and tools.
    • Excited to work on a product that is striving to bring staffing into the digital/mobile age.
    • Good and intuitive eye for what is aesthetically pleasing for our users.
