The Austin Human Resource Management Association (AHRMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of the human resource management profession.  AHRMA is the local affiliate of the national Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the leading voice of the human resource management profession.  AHRMA is one of Texas' largest and most dynamic SHRM-affiliated chapters, having received several awards, including SHRM's Superior Merit Award for outstanding chapter achievement.  Established in 1950, the Association's membership now reaches almost 800 individuals throughout the Greater Austin Metropolitan Area.

Austin Human Resource Management Association's mission is to promote professionalism, effectiveness, and understanding in the Human Resource Management field by offering members a wide variety of professional development opportunities and a common forum for sharing ideas and experiences.

AHRMA serves its members by:

 

• Providing a wide rnage of educational programming and activities that allow members to develop their expertise in the functional areas of Human Resource Management.
• Fostering increased awareness and understanding of the Human Resource profession throughout the business community and the general public.
• Encouraging the highest standards of integrity through our Code of Ethics.
• Providing a regular forum for members to meet and exchange information in addressing current human resource issues.

Important Membership Note
 

AHRMA Membership voted in April of 2005 to return AHRMA to a Calendar system of membership renewal, in effect, designating January as dues renewal month for all members.  We believe an annual renewal date will be a more efficient and convenient model for renewing membership.  Having annual renewal in January will answer many questions for members, automatically, on dues renewal, and free more time and energy for creative outreach for AHRMA’s volunteer Membership Committee.

AHRMA prefers Renewals be submitted online.
 

This keeps overhead costs and membership fees down.  Thank you for your support!
Renewing members may pay on-line with a credit card or print an invoice and mail a check to the AHRMA office.  Contact Tammy Fraser(ahrmamembership@live.com), VP Membership, with questions.
